IntrepidFunseeker Me?Well this is the user name that MSN gave me when I created my old user profile. Catchy eh? I have decided to keep it. |
April 10 Further photosI have added a further selection of photos taken on tour from Sheppeau Stow near Whaplode Drove via Cloughs Cross, Parson Drove, Guyhirn, Wisbech, Sutton Bridge and terminating by the mouth of the River Nene at Wingland.
Included are details of War Memorials at Parson Drove, Guyhirn and Wisbech.
Usual rules apply. These are for personal use and not for commercial use in any shape or form. The copyright remains with me. April 01 Wash ViewsI have added some views of the Wash around Frampton Marsh and Skeldyke, Lincolnshire.
These were taken with the tide out. Whilst it may look perfectly dry, it is Marshland and apperances can be deceptive. This is only a foot or so above sea level and when the tide is in things can be entirely different. This is NOT the area to wander accross the Marsh. There are plenty of traps including some areas of quicksand no doubt.
I will be adding more as time allows to allow those who have no idea how the Fenland landscape looks to get a better understanding. March 12 Fenland PhotosMy first albums were taken on 11 March 2007 whilst on a drive from Spalding to Crowland along Deeping Bank, then across to Thorney via Nene Terrace and then down to Whittlesey. As will be seen I managed to capture images of Whittlesey Wash in nearly full flood whilst still being able to keep my feet dry.
I will add more as time and space permits. These photos are for Personal and educational purposes and no commercial use is agreed to. Oh my a blogOops, I somehow managed to delete what was here in the first place. Probably doesn't matter as no one reads these things do they?
If I have anything that I want to say here I'll say it.
This space will now be used for uploading scenes around the Fens of Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire for those who have no idea what the Fens look like, and find it difficult to comprehend what a dyke is and how they compare with ditches.
